Serendipity defined: "The faculty, through awareness and good fortune, of being able to find something
good while seeking something else." from Spiritual
Serendipity by Richard Eyre
My definition: Recycling the good stuff from the empty containers. This can be a moving
target!
Relationships (to include friendships, professional relationships, significant others, our children,
our parents, and even our pets) all represent a source for knowledge. Through "awareness and good
fortune", we can use this knowledge to sculpt our personalities.
Try using the table below to build your awareness and good fortune! Make a list of every relationship
you can think of that is or has been "meaningful" (based on having an intense emotional response) in
your life. Next to each entry, choose one word that tells you the most important thing you learned (or
are learning) from that relationship. Revisit this list often and re-evaluate. You will find that the
"Serendipity" from each relationship grows as YOU grow!

Have fun redefining how and why even the "UGLY" people are serendipitous in your life.
